On arrival in Trivandrum, you will be met and drive to Kovalam by
Vardhman's representative. Reach and check into your hotel. Relax
for a remaining part of the day. Kovalam, famous for its pristine
Day 2: Kovalam
Full day city tour of Trivandrum.
Visit the ancient temple of Sri Padmanabhaswamy is one of the major
attractions in the city of Thiruvananthapuram. Napier Museum was
built in 1880 and shows a harmonious blending of Kerala, Mughal,
Chinese and Italian architectural styles. Sri Chitra Art Gallery
has a good collection Tanjore, Mughal, and Rajput schools of art.
The Zoo in Thiruvananthapuram has many shady and delightful walks.
Full day Excursion to Kanyakumari
Kanyakumari is the confluence of three seas - Bay of Bengal, Arabian
Ocean & Indian Ocean. It is an important pilgrim centre of India
is famous for Amman Temple a symbol of unity and sanctity dedicated
to the virgin goddess, Kanyakumari. To its South East lies the famous
Vivekananda rock memorial, a blend of all architectural styles of
India. Later in evening drive back to Kovalam to stay overnight in
Day 4: Kovalam-Alleppey
On the day 4 of your tour drive from Kovalam, to Kerala's traditional
houseboat for Alleppey, which is a fabulous way to explore the fascinating
beauty of the backwaters. Reach Alleppey and check into your houseboat.
cruise along the backwaters, passing through paddy fields, villages,
market etc. The cruise is through `Kuttanad' literally meaning the
land which is lower than the sea level but is kept intact by its bounds
and dikes. It is the `rice bowl' of Kerala. The rice fields are very
beautiful and this lush land and surrounds governs the placid way
of life of the people who live on the backwaters.
Day 5: Alleppey -Thekkady/Periyar
The houseboat comes to halt in Alleppey. Disembark the boat after
breakfast and drive to Thekkady. On arrival check into hotel, refresh
yourself & be relaxed for the remaining part of the day.
Day 6: Thekkady/Periyar
Full day free to explore Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES: Jeep Safari, Bamboo rafting(0800am to
0500pm with lunch), Elephant ride to the plantation, Spice plantation
tour, Nature walk(0730am to 1030am)
Day 7: Thekkady/Periyar-Munnar
On the 7 of your tour, drive to the fascinating hill station of
Munnar set amid Southern India's most dramatic mountain scenery and
the combination of craggy Peaks, Manicured Tea Estates .Crisp mountain
air makes Munnar a delightful alternative to the better known hill
stations of Tamil Nadu. Reach and check into your hotel. At Munnar
you are free to explore its beauty of nature.
Day 8: Munnar
This morning after breakfast proceed on a City tour of Munnar.
Visit Eravikulam National Park to see rare mountain goats locally
called the Nilgiri Tahr, Old Munnar Town, Dairy Farm and the Mattupetty
Dam. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own. Visit the bazaars, plantations
Day 9: Munnar -Cochin/Kochi
This morning after breakfast drive to Cochin. Reach and check
into your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 10: Cochin/Kochi
City tour of Kochi.
Visit the Dutch palace, Jewish Synagogue, chinese fishing nets, St.
Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Church. Also visit the Hill Palace
Museum which displays articles of archeological importance.
Rest of the day free for relaxation on the beach.
Day 11: Cochin/Kochi
Full day free to relax on the beach Or Full day free for leisure
activities on the beach.
Day 12: Cochin
This morning after breakfast transfer to Cochin to board your
International flight for your onward journey to back home with sweet
