Day 01 Cochin
Begin your tour.
Arrive into Cochin
Welcome to Vardhman's Kerala Tour
On arrival in Cochin, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's
representative to your hotel.
City tour of Cochin
Visit the Dutch palace, Jewish Synagogue, chinese fishing nets, St.
Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Church. Also visit the Hill Palace
Museum which displays articles of archeological importance
Day 02: Cochin - Munnar
After breakfast drive down to Munnar and transfer to hotel
Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 03: Munnar
City tour of Munnar
Visit Eravikulam National Park to see rare mountain goats locally
called the Nilgiri Tahr, Old Munnar Town, Dairy Farm and the Mattupetty
Dam. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own.
Day 04: Munnar - Thekkady
This morning after breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the wildlife
sanctuary at Periyar/Thekkady.
Check in at the Hotel/Resort. During the evening view cruise on the
Sightseeing will include spotting a large variety of wildlife, which
include elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc.
Day 05 : Thekkady - Kumarakom
Fifth day of the tour takes you to Kumarakom after breakfast at
the Hotel. To enjoy your stay here check into a resort at the bank
of the Vembanand Lake. Enjoy the rest of the day on your own
Day 06: Kumarakom - Houseboat- Alleppey
Now, begins that magical journey over the backwater on Houseboat
(Kettuvallam) cruise for 22 hours. While floating over water enjoy
panoramic views of village life at close quarters and sunset scene.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 07 Alleppey - Kovalam
After breakfast drive to Kovalam and transfer to hotel.
Kovalam sea beach is the best in India and second in the world. If
you want peace of mind and quiet atmosphere come and stay at Kovalam.
You will get them all and more than you expectation. The sea is calm
& quiet here, the shape is like a bow and it has been formed as
an estuary. It is a silver coloured beach, with small ripples and
excellent for sea bath. Whole atmosphere is a hilly one and shaded
with papaya, banana and coconut. In Kovalam, there are innumerable
palm tree. Under the dazzing blue the whole beach is covered by shade
of trees. The water of the sea is also blue there. Today Kovalam is
widely acclaimed in the world. Kovalam is also famous for sun bath.
Day 08: Kovalam
Eighth Day of the tour to Discover India takes you to sight seeing
of Thiruvananthapuram covering Museum complex, Padmanabha Swamy Temple,
Science & Technology museum, Veli Tourist village, Aakulam boat
club, Shangmugham Beach after breakfast. Return to Kovalam to stay
overnight. With this tour to the wonderful cities of Kerala, you would
be able to explore Kerala to fullest.
Day 09:Kovalam- Trivandrum (30 kms-1 hrs)
After breakfast transfer to Airport / Railway station to board
the flight/Train for your onward journey to back home with sweet and
unforgettable memories of Kerala escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
